Do you want to know more about the fabric “Polyester Crepe”? If yes, then do watch out this video till end. Hello, this is Tushar from Charu Creation Pvt Ltd, a fashion fabric company at Nehru Place, New Delhi. So friends, Polyester crepe refers to both the material and the weave of the fabric. Crepe is a weaving or fabric treatment method that results in a unique rippling, three-dimensional texture.

So in the case of polyester crepe fabric, the treatment called “Crepe” has been applied to the Polyester fabric. Polyester Crepe also called Poly crepe is typically a lightweight, opaque and a thin fabric that has a nice and fluid drape. This fabric having a matte finish has a slightly nubby texture (not visible to the naked eye). It is often used in formal wear, skirts, blouses and suits. Polyester crepe is also a very popular lining material. Because of its diverse uses, it is popularly known as a four-season fabric.

Now, let us talk about its benefits. Polyester crepe doesn’t pill, shrink or fade. It appears new-looking for a long period of time. It also dries easily and resists wrinkles. There are many types of polyester crepe but two of them are quite prevalent. First is American Crepe. It is a bit lighter. Its GSM is 75. It has a typical dull or Matte finish. The second is French crepe. It is a bit heavier. Its GSM is 95. It has a lesser Matte finish than American Crepe.

This fabric does not require frequent ironing as it does not wrinkle a lot. However, in case you need to iron polyester crepe then you should be a bit careful. It is recommended to put a cotton fabric over polyester crepe fabric and then apply the iron. If you wishes to apply the iron directly on poly crepe then do not go above 148 degrees Celsius otherwise you may burn the fabric. While ironing, remember to use firm, quick and short strokes.

Which fabrics should be used for making Quilts? Are you looking for an answer to this question? If yes, then do watch out this video till end. Hello, this is Tushar from Charu Creation Pvt Ltd, a fashion fabric company at Nehru Place, New Delhi. So friends, first of all, let us understand the terminology associated with a Quilt. There are 3 important parts of a Quilt. 1) The Quilt top: It is upper fabric layer of the Quilt.

2) The Quilt backing: The backing is the layer we see when we flip a quilt over to take a peek at its reverse side. Alike the Quilt top, it is also made of fabric. It is a very important part because it touches our skin. 3) The Quilt Batting: Quilt Batting is the middle of the Quilt or the “quilt sandwich”. It is also known as quilt padding or quilt wadding. Quilt Batting is the insulating layer that provides warmth, along with dimension or thickness.

It is made by using fibers either of cotton or polyester, wool, silk or even bamboo. So in this video, I will discuss about the fabrics used for making the Quilt top and the Quilt backing. In most cases, people use the same fabric for making the Quilt top and the Quilt Backing. So coming down to today’s topic.

What important aspects should be there in a fabric suitable for making the Quilt top and the Quilt Backing? The first important aspect is the feel of the fabric against the skin. It should be anti static in nature. It should not produce charge against the skin as fabrics which are static or which produce charge would not allow your skin to relax. This means that Natural fabrics are the obvious choice. Cotton poplin, cotton sheeting, Bamboo fabric and Cotton flannel fabric are anti static in nature and are soft against the skin.

If you want a textured touch, a bit of rough touch against your skin like me then go for Linen or blend of cotton linen. Linen is also anti static in nature. The second important aspect is the moisture wicking ability of the fabric. While asleep, our body tends to release moisture. This means the fabric should be able to absorb the moisture and preferably release it into the atmosphere. Otherwise, unabsorbed moisture would increase the humidity and cause our body to sweat which in turn would become a deterrent to sound sleep.

Therefore, synthetic fabrics having no moisture wicking ability are avoided for making Quilts. Hence fabrics made of natural fibers like cotton, linen and bamboo are the preferred choice. The third important aspect is the strength & the durability of the fabric. As we are unconscious while asleep, we tend to handle the quilt not with care. This means the fabric has to be sturdy and durable. Weaker fabric would be prone to snagging. This is the reason one avoids using cotton cambric or voile as they snag easily.

Moreover, the process of making a quilt as such requires the fabric to be thick & strong. The fourth aspect is the construction technique of the fabric. Woven fabrics are preferred over knitted fabrics as they are easy to sew. Knitted fabrics on the other hand tend to go out of shape while sewing a Quilt. Friends, to view our collection of Quilt Fabrics, click on the link given in the description of the video. There is one more link through which you can come to know the length of fabrics required for making different sizes of Quilts.

Wondering which fabric is best suited for human beings? If yes, then do watch out this video till end. Hello, this is Tushar from Charu Creation Pvt Ltd, a fashion fabric company at Nehru Place, New Delhi. So friends, Hemp fabric made from Cannabis sativa plant is supposedly the best fabric for Human needs

Hemp is one of the lightest fibers you can find, and this gives the clothes and the apparel a very breathable and lightweight feel with the fibers themselves weighing up to a third less compared to the cotton and woolen materials. This is vital for people who travel a lot and for whom comfort and ease is vital. Hemp is one of the rare fabrics that has resistance to Ultraviolet radiations (UV rays). It is about 95% UV reflective. Next, it is water-resistant.

Hemp fabric does not absorb water and instead tries to reflect the water, much like water on a leaf. Further, hemp fabric has antimicrobial properties. If you have a bad odor, then hemp clothing might help you. It prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria. It packs excellent antimicrobial properties which make it last longer than any other textile fiber like cotton, polyester, etc. Hemp clothes don’t become distorted even after multiple uses and washes.

At the same time, hemp fabric is known for its durability and sustainability. Another interesting fact about hemp textile is, the more you wear hemp apparel the softer it gets over time. Hemp is also easy to dye and retains color better than any other industrial fabric. Well-made hemp textile has strong thermal qualities as well as being hypoallergenic, making it a great accessory for outdoor activities and travel.

There are countless uses of hemp fabric. It is used to make jeans, shoes, sneakers, shirts, dresses, undergarments, hats, bags, mats, bedsheets, pillow covers, duvets, curtains etc. Interestingly, in the history of sailing ships, hemp fiber was used around the world to make ropes and canvas sails. Apart for its usefulness for Human beings, hemp is a very eco friendly material. A fun fact fact: Henry Ford made a car partially from hemp to help out American farmers.

Friends, to order Hemp fabrics, click on the link given in the description of the video. Friends, I want to acknowledge you for watching this video. when should one use Cupro fabric as a lining material? Are you a Garment manufacturer who wants to know the answer to this question If yes, then do watch out this video till end. Hello, this is Tushar from Charu Creation Pvt Ltd, a fashion fabric company at Nehru Place, New Delhi. So friends, Developed in Japan, Cupro is Recycled cellulose exposed to copper, ammonia, and caustic soda to result in a semi-synthetic textile substance.

Also known by the names of Cuprammonium rayon, cupra, ammonia silk, Bemberg; Cupro is by far the most popular fabric used for lining. Cupro is generally prized for its fineness, elasticity and sheerness. It is smooth, shiny, breathable and static free. Cupro lining is often chosen for men’s jackets, vests and pants. Lightweight and silk-looking, it makes any suit especially wool-suit super comfortable and breathable. Plus, it is an-all season fabric, cool in summer and warm in winter.

The delicate shine it offers to the garment elevates the entire look while saving you money. Apparel applications of Cupro as a lining material also include blouses, tank tops, t-shirts, sports bras, and other light intimate apparel. However Cupro has some shortcomings too. It takes up stains very easily and is not very strong. Moreover, it cannot be washed in hot water.

Friends, to view our collection of Cupro fabrics for Lining Material, click on the link below. Friends, I want to acknowledge you for watching this video.
